Purpy Terms of Service
Version of October 2, 2026.
These Terms govern the use of the Purpy interactive-story platform, the website https://purpy.app, the editor https://studio.purpy.app, the Telegram Mini App, applications, APIs and related features (together, the "Service"). Operator of the Service: Purpy Limited Liability Partnership, BIN 260740011419, address: 78 Zenkova St., apt. 3, Medeu District, Almaty 050010, Republic of Kazakhstan ("Purpy", "we").
By registering, pressing the acceptance button or continuing to use the Service after the terms are displayed, the user enters into an agreement with Purpy. The purchase of Purps is additionally governed by the Public Offer. Data processing is governed by the Privacy Policy.
1. Age and territory
1.1. The general minimum age is 13. The user confirms that they have reached the age of independent consent applicable in their country or use the Service with the valid consent of a legal representative.
1.2. Persons under 18 do not have access to materials labelled 18+, to purchases without the consent of a legal representative, or to other features restricted by law or by the interface.
1.3. Purpy may apply age verification, request confirmation of consent and restrict features until verification is complete. Accounts of persons under 13 are deleted, except where applicable law allows their use with verified parental consent and Purpy has implemented the relevant procedure.
1.4. The Service is available in many countries but may be unavailable or restricted in certain territories. The user is responsible for complying with the legislation applicable to them. Mandatory rights of consumers and data subjects at the place of residence are preserved.
2. Account
2.1. The user provides accurate data, keeps them up to date, protects the password and does not transfer the account. One person must not create accounts to circumvent blocks, age restrictions or other restrictions.
2.2. The user is responsible for actions taken through the account until Purpy is notified that it has been compromised. Purpy may request re-authentication, confirmation of account ownership or other reasonable evidence.
2.3. It is prohibited to sell, rent out or transfer an account, artificially alter metrics, use bots, mass registrations, inflation of metrics, scraping or circumvention of technical restrictions.
2.4. The account is part of the Service and belongs to Purpy. The user receives a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the account; the user acquires no ownership or other property rights in the account. This does not affect the user's rights in their content (Section 4) or in their personal data.
3. Purpy Studio
3.1. Studio provides tools for creating interactive stories. The rights to the software platform, interface, code, design, documentation, system templates, and the Purpy brand belong to Purpy or its licensors.
3.2. The User is granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use Studio to create projects in accordance with the Agreement. Reverse engineering, decompilation, extraction of source code, circumvention of restrictions, interference with the API, malicious testing, resale of access, and the creation of a competing service based on closed elements of Purpy, as well as other unfair actions, are prohibited — except in cases expressly permitted by mandatory law.
3.3. The user must independently keep exported copies of important projects. Purpy takes reasonable measures to preserve data but does not guarantee the absence of losses caused by the user's actions, third-party software, force majeure or technical failures. Where a material feature is discontinued on a planned basis, we will try to give advance notice and a reasonable period for export.
3.4. In a team project, the project owner is responsible for granting access to participants and confirms that they have the authority to dispose of the joint result. Purpy does not resolve disputes between co-authors and may temporarily restrict a disputed project until it receives the parties' agreement or a binding decision of a competent authority.
4. User rights and Purpy's licence
4.1. The user retains the rights they hold in the uploaded content.
4.2. To operate the Service, the user grants Purpy, for the period the content is hosted and a reasonable technical period after deletion, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to store, reproduce, technically transform, format, transcode, translate interface elements of, publicly display, make available to the public and distribute the content as part of the Service.
4.3. If the content is published publicly, the licence also includes the right to create and display previews, covers, quotations and fragments for search, recommendations and promotion of Purpy and of the relevant story, including in Purpy's official channels. Substantial creative adaptation or separate commercial sale of the work requires the author's separate consent.
4.4. Purpy may engage hosting, CDN, moderators, security providers and other processors to the extent necessary to provide the services. This does not mean that ownership rights in the content are transferred to them.
4.5. After deletion, public use ceases within a reasonable technical period, except for backups, evidence of violations, mandatory retention and previously created publications whose removal is impossible or disproportionate. The rights of other users to lawful access already obtained are taken into account within the limits of the law and technical capabilities.
5. Author's warranties
By publishing content, the user warrants that:
- they hold the necessary rights to the texts, images, music, fonts, trademarks and other materials;
- they have obtained the consents of co-authors, performers, depicted persons and legal representatives of minors;
- the content and its publication do not violate the law, a contract, rights to private life, honour, dignity, copyright or other rights;
- the content does not contain malicious code, hidden advertising or deliberately false metadata;
- the age rating and warnings about sensitive topics are stated correctly.
The user must reasonably assist Purpy in handling claims relating to their content. The user shall reimburse Purpy's documented expenses and losses (including legal costs, fines and payments to third parties) arising in connection with third-party claims and lawsuits concerning the user's content or the user's breach of these Terms. Purpy notifies the user of such a claim. This provision applies to the extent permitted by mandatory law and does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
6. Prohibited content
The following is prohibited:
- sexualization of minors and any materials depicting sexual violence against children, including fictional and AI-generated content;
- pornography, naturalistic depiction of sexual acts, sexual violence, and such content without the consent of the person depicted;
- romanticization, promotion, or instructions for self-harm and suicide;
- creation and distribution of content using the image, voice, or identity of a real person without their consent, including deepfakes;
- excessively graphic violence, dismemberment, torture for shock effect;
- terrorism, extremism, instructions for committing crimes, actual trade in prohibited goods;
- threats, bullying, doxxing, discrimination, and calls for violence;
- copyright infringement, impersonation, fraud, and false information capable of causing substantial harm;
- disclosure of another person's personal, medical, financial, or intimate data without a lawful basis;
- spam, malicious code, phishing, artificial inflation of metrics, and manipulation of recommendations.
7. 18+ materials
7.1. Only correctly labelled 18+ stories with non-graphic adult themes, moderate violence and mild erotica without graphic description of sexual acts are permitted.
7.2. Such materials must be hidden from minors, carry warnings and must not use sexualised images in a publicly available cover, title or advertising.
7.3. Purpy may change the rating, restrict recommendations, require edits or remove the material. An 18+ label does not legalise prohibited content.
8. Moderation and complaints
8.1. Purpy may use automated tools and human review to detect violations, without guaranteeing prior review of every item.
8.2. A complaint should, where possible, contain a link, a description of the violation, the complainant's details and supporting materials. Complaints are sent through the interface or to support@purpy.app. Complaints from rights holders are sent to support@purpy.app, stating the protected work, the disputed material, the complainant's authority and a statement that the complaint is made in good faith.
8.3. Purpy may reduce the reach of, hide, age-restrict, freeze or remove material; suspend features or an account; preserve evidence; and notify competent authorities if required by law or if there is an imminent threat.
8.4. Where possible, the user receives the reason for the decision and a way to appeal. A complaint is reviewed within up to 15 business days, unless the law requires a shorter period. Urgent orders are complied with within the period established by law.
8.5. In the event of repeated or serious violations, the account may be terminated without prior warning. Purpy takes into account the seriousness, intent, consequences, history of violations and risk to users.
8.6. Repeat infringers. Purpy may terminate the account of a user who repeatedly infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of third parties. An infringement is repeated if it is committed after that user's content has already been removed or restricted following a substantiated complaint from a rights holder. In the case of a gross infringement, Purpy may terminate the account after the first instance. The user may send a reasoned objection to support@purpy.app. The consequences for the balance of Purps are determined by clause 12.3.
9. Recommendation system
9.1. Content priority may be determined by tags and language, search queries, favourites, follows, explicit ratings, interaction history, freshness, popularity, quality, age rating, safety signals and editorial promotion.
9.2. Purpy may personalise the feed but provides access to non-personalised feed or sorting options where required by law. The user may clear part of their history and manage the available recommendation settings.
9.3. Artificial manipulation of recommendations is prohibited. Ranking does not guarantee views, income or a permanent position.
10. AI features
10.1. The user formulates an instruction and receives a generated result. Purpy and the engaged provider do not use user instructions, projects or results to train Purpy models unless the user separately and expressly agrees to this in the future.
10.2. To fulfil an instruction, the necessary data may be transferred to the AI provider named in the Privacy Policy. Other people's personal data, trade secrets or confidential materials should not be entered without lawful grounds.
10.3. An AI result may be inaccurate, incomplete, similar to the results of other users or infringe third-party rights. The user must review it before publication. Purpy does not guarantee the uniqueness, legal protectability or fitness of the result and does not provide professional advice.
10.4. Rights in the result are determined by applicable law. As between Purpy and the user, Purpy does not claim exclusive rights in the result merely because it was created by a Purpy feature, but retains the rights in the Service and its technologies.
11. Purps and author support
11.1. Purps are internal conditional access units that are not money, electronic money, a security, a digital asset or a deposit. The user receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Purps in the Service; no ownership right in Purps arises.
11.2. The user may send Purps as in-service support to an author. Purpy retains the part of the operation shown in the interface, and the remaining part is credited to the author in Purps. The author receives no cash payment; the operation is not a charitable donation, a tip or remuneration for work. Purps cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money.
11.3. The price, commission and final number of Purps are shown before confirmation. Operations that are erroneous, fraudulent, cancelled by the bank or credited as a result of a failure may be corrected.
11.4. Purps are spent in order of purchase: those purchased earlier are spent first. Bonus Purps credited without payment are spent after purchased ones, have no monetary value, are not refundable and may have a validity period. Details are in the Public Offer.
12. Blocking and termination of an account
12.1. The user may delete the account through the available feature or by a request to support. Deletion does not end the mandatory retention of payment documents, evidence of violations and other information that Purpy is obliged or entitled to keep.
12.2. Purpy may temporarily restrict an account where hacking, fraud, a chargeback, a security threat or a violation is suspected. Until a final decision, the paid balance of Purps is, as a rule, frozen rather than confiscated.
12.3. Except in the case described in clause 12.4, where the Service or an account is terminated through no fault of the user, Purpy applies the refund provided by law, restoration of access or a reasonable replacement. Where termination is for a serious violation, the consequences for the balance are determined by law, the Public Offer and the nature of the violation; mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
12.4. If the user does not sign in to the account for more than 365 consecutive days, Purpy may close the account without compensation: unused Purps, unlocked access and non-public data are cancelled. Purpy may send a reminder to the account e-mail in advance but is not obliged to do so. This provision applies to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
12.5. Violation of the rules entails removal of content, restriction of access, or blocking of the account, and in cases provided by law — transfer of information to law enforcement authorities.
13. Purpy's intellectual property
The Purpy name, logos, interface, software code, design, documentation, and the selection and arrangement of elements are protected by law. No rights are transferred to the user except those expressly granted by these Terms. Feedback about the Service may be used by Purpy without any obligation to pay, unless the parties have separately agreed otherwise.
14. Third-party services
The Service may contain third-party links and integrations. Their terms apply separately. Purpy does not control and is not responsible for third-party content and services, but this does not exclude liability that cannot be limited by law. The Service may display advertising, including advertising from third-party advertising networks and interest-based (behavioural) advertising; the processing of data for advertising is described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Purpy does not guarantee continuity, the absence of errors, specific audience figures or a commercial result. We may update features, introduce reasonable limits and carry out technical work. Material adverse changes are communicated in advance where possible and required by law.
16. Liability
16.1. Each party is liable for proven direct losses caused by its culpable breach. Purpy is not liable for user content, lost profit, indirect losses, decisions based on an AI result or events beyond its reasonable control — to the extent permitted by law.
16.2. Purpy's aggregate liability for a claim not connected with an intentional breach, life or health, personal data or other liability that cannot be limited is limited to the greater of: the amount paid by the user to Purpy over the preceding 12 months, or the tenge equivalent of 100 US dollars.
16.3. The limitations do not apply if and to the extent that applicable mandatory law prohibits them.
17. Governing law and disputes
The law of the Republic of Kazakhstan applies. Before going to court, the parties send a claim to support@purpy.app; a claim is reviewed within 10 business days of its receipt. Claims and demands against Purpy are submitted within 1 (one) year from the day the user learned or should have learned of the violation of their right; after that period Purpy may refuse to satisfy them, to the extent permitted by mandatory law. Disputes are heard by the courts of Almaty, unless mandatory rules on jurisdiction or consumer protection give the user the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
18. Changes to the Terms
The current version is published at https://purpy.app/terms. Purpy may amend these Terms unilaterally without prior notice to the user. A new version takes effect upon publication. The user is responsible for monitoring changes; continued use of the Service after publication constitutes acceptance of the new version. If the law requires new consent, Purpy will request it.
19. Languages and contacts
The Russian, Kazakh and English versions are intended to convey the same meaning. In the event of a discrepancy, the Russian version prevails to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
